These information requests are often computer or website related.
Items for PR Audio (updated 7/27/09)
Electro-Voice T35, T35A, Klipsch K-77F / K77M, or similar models with damaged or defective diaphragm. The magnet, and steel / aluminum parts must be in reasonably good condition, no heavy corrosion, etc.
We have a customer looking for ElectroVoice Patrician 700 systems or parts. Contact Us for details.
Electro-Voice or University Sound 1824M horn driver with damaged or defective diaphragm. The magnet and steel parts must be in reasonably good condition, no heavy corrosion, etc.
HIWATT 12″ lead guitar speaker, model # 122142: We are primarily looking for a blown unit that still has the cone mostly intact (even a moderate tear is ok.) However, we will also consider structures only and / or working units.
Postal scales or similar, used, but in good working condition: Must be capable of accurate measurements in the 2-20 lb. range.
Medium-small LCD monitor, used, in good working condition. Some cosmetic blems to all but the screen are ok. Prefer a non wide-screen aspect ratio (4:3). As small as 13″ is ok, 14″-15″ would be great, and 17″ is also a possibility. We have a 17″ Dell possibly lined up for $30, but something a little smaller / cheaper would be great.

Has anyone ever seen an Infinity Polycell tweeter with flex leads (ie., tinsel leads) to the voice coil? These would seem to be almost mandatory for a tweeter used in a 2 way system, yet we can find no Polycell 1″ diaphragm or tweeter model with flex leads. The different Polycell tweeter versions get more discussion on our page for the 902-2638 model.
We are curious as to whether a high output shallow 6 or 6 1/2″ car audio component upper-bass / midrange would be of interest to the car audio “crowd”. This would most likely be a unit with a 1.5″ or 2″ voice coil, but, a 3″ coil unit might be a possibility, to compete with the very expensive Morel models. Please let us know what you think, on our Contact Us page.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good address book program that will run on as small as a modest Win2k machine (or maybe even a Win98SE machine)? Preferably it would have fields for entry of: Name; Company Name; Home Address; Work Address; Home Phone #; Business Phone#; Alternate, Fax or Cell Phone #’s (all with extension and / or overseas listing capability); e-mail addresses, website URL’s, Profession; Comments’ fields; Birthday; automatic display of last update date (of each name; codes (one can code an entry to group retrievals, of say, all suppliers, all friends, etc.; also, list by category capability (ie., one can list all entries by name, profession, or company name); We actually have a great little program for most of this, named simply “AB” (address book): It works fine on older computers, but it’s an OLD DOS program, and it runs like a dog on XP machines, and not at all on Vista. It also doesn’t store hyperlinks such as e-mail and web addresses as such, and that would be very useful. AB is not very big: Only 224 KB including the entire stored database that goes back to 1989!! So it’d be nice if it’s replacement (.exe) could be held down to 1 MB or so (would likely run fast in that case). Possibly two versions would be needed, one for up through XP, and another for Vista (pain in the wazoo.) It’d be nice for the same database to work well with all MS OS’s from Win98SE, though. Suggestions?
People, Services, and other hard-to-categorize ”stuff” (updated 7/23/09)
We are looking for a good audio technician to repair a few pieces of equipment for us. You must be competent and a reliable person who will back their work. Experience in audio / electronic repair is required, though you need not have worked for a shop, previously. A local University student / grad. student would be preferred. You would work on your own (at home), with your own tools, and be your own boss. You would bill us for parts and your time, of course. We would also be more than willing to advertise your services on our website, and can also put you in contact with other active audio people and sellers in the area, who may also be in need of your capabilities. This could be anything from a way for the right person to make a few extra dollars, to the beginning of an electronics service career. Contact Us for more information.
Personal Items (updated 7/23/09)
2+ yr. old child’s tricycle, used, in good condition. Wheels compatible with use in our yard are a requirement. (Ie., small diameter wheels are out.) Something useful / adjustable up to age 5, or so, would be nice. Prefer metal frame type (again, usage will be in our driveway / yard.)
