We have a small stock of Tonegen / Foster # 15069-61A 1-inch soft dome tweeters for sale.  These are a great sounding, high quality tweeter made by Tonegen / Foster, and feature smooth, extended response, a full felt damping dome behind the diaphragm, ferrofluid, and tinsel leads.  They also feature a 3.706″ ( 94.1mm) diameter faceplate, and 2.625″ diameter magnet structure, which, along with their other characteristics, makes them an excellent replacement / upgrade for the smaller magnet versions of the Infinity Polycell tweeters found in many (but not all) Infinity 2-way speaker systems.  These units have slight molding (texture) blemishes on the front plate which of course do not affect performance at all.

Frequency response:  1.5 kHz – 23 kHz +/-3  dB.**  (On axis.)

8 ohm impedance.  DCR = 6.45 ohms.

Recommended (electrical) crossover: 18 dB/octave or steeper, at 3000Hz or higher.  Comes with rear gasket attached for good air seal to cabinet. Std. 3mm / 1.18″ solder terminals. (See pics.)

*These tweeters are recommended for replacement of the smaller magnet Polycell tweeters in many Infinity 2-way speaker systems.  Two of these common smaller magnet Polycell tweeter models are the # 902-6682 and the # 902-6758, but there are others.  These tweeters magnets will measure a little under under 2.5″.  In most cases, we DO NOT recommend replacement of the “High Output” Polycell tweeters with the 15069-61A, as the high output version is substantially more efficient / sensitive, due mainly to it’s much larger magnet structure.  See our page for the Infinity Polycell 1″ Dome Tweeter, # 902-2638, for more details.

**Note that the “ripples” in the on axis response will smooth out if the driver is flush mounted in a low diffraction enclosure.  (The 30° off-axis curve gives a good indication of this, as the diffraction effects begin to cancel out as one goes off axis.)  However, most Polycell tweeters we have seen in their Infinity cabinets were not flush mounted, and therefore have the same type “ripples” in their in-cabinet response.  Therefor, we are specifying the response the tweeter will give in it’s most popular usage, which is to replace the smaller magnet Infinity Polycell tweeters used in a number of Infinity 2-way speaker systems.
