*Sundown’s published ratings are at 14.4 volts, but Jacob Fuller (Sundown’s “main” guy) advises us that their amps will meet or exceed their power ratings even at 12.8 volts — the published ratings are, as we say, “conservative.”  Per the following:

There are a few other companies with a similar honest / conservative approach, but the above is in stark contrast to the juiced up “power ratings” that afflict most car, home, and, sadly, even some pro audio amplifiers and speakers, these days…  (Maybe Paul will write a scathing article about inflated power ratings, sometime!!)
