 The RCF N252 is a professional quality, wide dispersion radial horn tweeter.  It is vey well made (in Italy), and is one of the better sounding, efficient horn tweeters, that Paul has used over the years.  These are very reliable:  Paul has had another pair in use in the “main” aerobics class area (an indoor track facility!) at Southern Illinois University, for over 20 years!  There they accept daily use and abuse, including on a couple occaisions, one of the very large heavy speakers they are in were knocked to the floor, an effective drop of at least 5 ft., landing on the front “lips” of the tweeter, causing considerable cabinet damage, but, the N252′s survived ok.  (We really can’t recommend this sort of thing!)  Obviously, the horn lense is made of a good quality and well braced aluminum alloy.  We have never had to replace a diaphragm in a N252 (granted that all we have used have been properly crossed over and protected by a light bulb current-limit system.*)

These tweeters have a 1″ voice coil / diaphragm, and are recommended primarily for use in 3-way systems with an 18 dB / octave or steeper crossover at 4500 Hz or higher.  The unit is an integrated horn & driver (ie., you cannot thread a different driver onto the horn, etc.)  They will match up well with a number of midrange compression driver / horn combinations.
