11/30/09  We probably do not “toot our own horn enough”?  Ok, we’ll take a bit of a stab at it:  Here are some excerpts from recent e-mails from customers…

…I meant to tell you that the Advent Laureattes were brought back to life.  They are powered by a Pioneer SX-1280 — Pioneer only made one model more powerful than this one and this one has a VERY GOOD preamp.   The amp came to me via eBay, broken of course.  Now I’ve rebuilt it and I doubt I will ever part with it.  It is driving the Advents and a pair of DCM TF 600s (gotta love Greg’s suggestion, too).  No kidding, Paul.  This is the best sounding system I’ve ever heard, bar none!!!!!!  I don’t know what you did with the woofer rebuilds that was so special, but those little Advents kick serious butt!

I can´t be more happy!  After 30 years the old pair of Electrovoice Eliminator 1B were totally restored (they look just like they look the day I pulled them ot of the box in 1979, just perfect).  As I told you those speakers were mine in the 70´s:  I bought them brand new at McAllen Radio Electronics in Mcallen Tx., when I used to be a DJ, I sold them to another DJ (who used to be my partener back then) in the 1984,  he used them for a few years, and then stored them in a warehouse.  I bought them back from him a few months ago, the only thing left was the T-35´s, I was lucky when I found your´s on your website.  I paid a fair amount, you sent them quickly, carefuly packed, and what is more impressive they were old stock, but brand new!!! and plus that, you gave me $ 2.00 dollars back when you found out that shipping was less than you thought,  that’s what I call Honesty!!
 
Just to let you know, my brothers and I have restored 3 pairs of Electrovoice eliminator 1B, they look, just beautiful, powered by 1 Crown microtech 2400, with a DBX120, a teac EQ20, and my brother´s (who is still a professional DJ) Software and mixer.
