11/05/10: We have great idea (we think!) to assist others with identifying their speakers, and provide general information. Please send us pictures of your speaker systems, drivers, crossovers, etc. Please click here for more details.

5/15/09: Yikes! The News page “blew up”. Recent entries have been re-entered in plain text below, pending a better fix…

Severe wind event in Southern Illinois!!!

5/15/09: Read the excellent article on this event by Stu Ostro of The Weather Channel: http://www.weather.com/blog/weather/8_19404.html
It appears the most accurate name for this event (as it hit the SI area) would be a MCV (Mesoscale Convective Vortex.) Paul wanted to call it a “Saluki” – doggone it.

5/14/09: Higher res storm damage photos now posted. We are very busy with cleanup and repairs. Hopefully, power will be back on at our SI location soon — the power crews have made good progress in Carbondale and other towns in the last few days. (Mom has power now!) Many more links and info. are on the photos page.

5/10/09: Here are a few photos of the SI storm damage. We will post more later.

5/8/09: “Here we go again”, to quote Jeb Bush. Gusts over 100 mph recorded near Carbondale, IL; I-57 temporarily closed. We have damage at our SI location, and no power. Hurricane-like damage is widespread. WSIL TV reports over 70,000 without power (if I add it up.) Please bear with us: Much like after our big ice storm, many communications are down or erratic. Feel free to e-mail us as long as file sizes are not large, but we may be a bit slow to reply. At least a lot of the tree cleanup people are still in the area, as the post ice-storm cleanup is still in progress. No pics seem to be online yet, but below are links to various reports. We will post pics or links to pics when we can. We are kinda busy right now…

More great “Product” items are in the works, and we are posting more items on the On Sale page too. Pages we post seem to be showing up on Google a little faster than before, and definitely higher on the list, but it still takes some time to get results. So, if you are looking for a specific item, please go to the On Sale or Product pages, OR, try our on-site search function. We like it so much, we use it a lot, ourselves!

We’ll keep the ice storm pictures linked to this page, a little longer, here and here.

Special announcement – 03/21/09:
We are still getting caught up after our big ice storm, but things are getting back to normal. We have the large branch off of our building, an 80 ft. hickory tree that had to come down, down (thanks Dad and Len!), and a lot of debris cleared. We still have broken branches hung up in many trees, some still over our building and house. And there is still even more debris to pickup. But, it’s coming along, and we thank you for your patience!!!
