This is a quite useful tool for measuring up to 6½” drivers for baffle hole cut diameters, etc.  It will not really do an accurate measurement down to 1/128″ accuracy, but, with a little care, it can most certainly get you within 1/32″ or so.  The jaws will only measure an object with a depth of around 1 3/8″, but, we have had customers get a 2nd caliper and add “jaw extensions” of their own making, for larger / deeper drivers.  These are also quite useful for other diameter measurements around the house or shop, such as if you need to measure the outside diameter of an existing pipe.  (Disclaimer - what appears to be a thumbwheel is fake.  What can we say?  Maybe that’s why we were able to get them cheap!)
